Patieshill Farmhouse

Patieshill Farmhouse is a real working hill sheep farm where guests can witness the activities of the sheep farmer’s calendar.
It nestles into the Pentland Hills where guests are free to wander at their leisure–some choosing to climb to the top of Patieshill (1700 feet above sea level) before their hearty breakfast.

Drochil Castle Farm

Drochil Castle Farmhouse B&B in Peeblesshire, Scottish Borders
Bed and Breakfast near Glentress Mountain Biking

Sitting on the bench beside the front door this is the splendid view down the valley towards Peebles and it is beautiful at every season of the year. Drochil Castle is a 1200 acre grassland farm with cattle and sheep. Its lands lie between the Lyne and Tarth Waters. Peebles is seven miles away where these two rivers meet the Tweed. Behind the farmhouse tower the massive ruins of Drochil Castle which was built for the Regent of Scotland and was not finished before his execution in 1581. It stands today incomplete and never occupied in over 400 years.

Rutherford House

Nestled at the foot of the Pentland Hills you will find Rutherford House Bed and Breakfast.
Situated on the edge of the Scottish Borders on the outskirts of Edinburgh, it benefits from a quiet rural countryside setting, whilst only a 25 minute drive will take you directly into the heart of Edinburgh city centre.
Surrounded by extensive mature gardens, Rutherford House offers all the comforts you would expect from a country house. This historic property, which retains many original features, dates back to circa 1800 when it was once a Coach House for travellers between the North and the South.
